Our southern timberlands consist of nearly 1.5 million acres located across 6 states in the south - Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Louisiana. Timberlands are managed on a sustainable basis to maximize growth while ensuring we maintain healthy working forests. Evergreen Timber LLC benefits from a strong customer base near our southern timberlands and proximity to major housing markets. Timberlands in these baskets are also expected to benefit from strong end-use demand growth in the region.
We own approximately 946,000 acres of timberland in Arkansas. We mainly grow southern yellow pine, with a mix of red oak, white oak, and other hardwoods that grow in bottomlands.
Timber harvested from our Arkansas lands is sold to Evergreen Timber LLC mills in Warren, Waldo, and Ola and to other area lumber and paper manufacturers.
A wide range of lumber, panel and pulp and paper customers are located near to our timberlands and our footprint in Arkansas enables us to optimize our log marketing over this customer base. We typically use approximately 60% of the sawlogs harvested on our Arkansas timberlands internally.
We own approximately 218,000 acres of timberland in Georgia. We grow southern yellow pine, along with oak, yellow poplar and other commercial hardwood species. The timberland is highly productive and is well stocked with superior quality trees.
Our Georgia timberlands are in high-demand, competitive markets for sawtimber and pulpwood. They are well positioned to transportation infrastructure and the coastal lands are in close proximity to ports with increasing export demand.
We own approximately 153,000 acres of timberland in Alabama. We mainly grow southern yellow pine, along with a mix of red oak, sweetgum and other commercial hardwood species.
Timber harvested from our Alabama lands is sold to an array of regional wood products and pulp mills.
We own and lease approximately 118,000 acres of timberland in Mississippi. We mainly grow southern yellow pine, along with a mix of red oak, sweetgum and other commercial hardwood species.

We own approximately 30,000 acres of timberland in northern Louisiana. We mainly grow southern pine with a mix of pine and hardwood in some areas.
Timber harvested from our Louisiana lands is sold to an array of regional wood products and pulp mills.

Our southern timberlands are managed on a sustainable basis and are third-party certified annually under the Sustainable Forestry Initiative ® (SFI ®) standard or Forest Stewardship Council ™ (FSC ™) standard. SFI promotes sustainable forestry practices through a set of standards that seek to promote healthy productive forests through protecting factors such as water quality, biodiversity and wildlife habitat. FSC is a rigorous global forest certification system that enables customers to utilize FSC Chain-of-Custody certification on end products.

Our southern timberlands are the perfect place to enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, hunting and fishing and they also provide excellent habitat for deer, turkey and many other wildlife species. We offer exclusive hunting and recreation opportunities through our licensing program.
